  6. In last issues round up of the other Amos disk mags I forgot about Didsmag.
  7. Apologies to Richard for that. So to make up here is a short review of the 
  8. latest issue.

  10. I recently recieved DIDSMAG ISSUE SIX from the editor (Richard Martin)
  11. who is doing the best he can to keep Didsmag going with virtually no support
  12. from anyone! Richard is doing a great job considering most of the work is
  13. his own. Didsmag contains the usual articles/source/gfx etc. and also a few
  14. tutorials on using Imagine, nice to see something different, personally I 
  15. have always wanted to dabble with Imagine but the cost of getting a manual
  16. for the cover disk version (Amiga Format) and the time required to learn how
  17. to use it has never much appealed to me. Where was I ? Oh ye, Didsmag's
  18. driver is written in Amos and could certainly do with a "Lee Bamber" touch
  19. to it, it is very plain and basic, but having said that it does the job it
  20. was written to do and that's to display text!

  22. At the bottom of the screen are a strip of numbers, in the main screen are
  23. the headings to the articles. What I found strange was the articles are not
  24. numbered and so to click on a number to load say article 5, you have to count
  25. yourself down the article list. This doesn't sound too bad but it does get
  26. annoying at times when a simple number in front of the article heading would
  27. save all this hassle. Also the driver crashes a lot if you press the wrong
  28. mouse button in certain places. O.K the driver needs a lot of work on it, but
  29. It's still a good mag, especially as it's free. So send Richard two blank
  30. disks and a stamp and see for yourself.
